Job description
Lamor Recycling is looking for a Production Manager for its new chemical recycling facility for plastics. Come join us and be part of something groundbreaking – Finland's first pilot facility for industrial-scale chemical recycling of plastics!

The main goal for the position
The goal is to lead and develop the operations of a newly established chemical plastic recycling plant, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production performance. The role includes overseeing plant operators, production planning, and daily operations while maintaining compliance with safety, quality, and cost standards. Collaboration with the Laboratory Manager and other stakeholders is key to optimizing feedstock and product performance. A continuous improvement mindset is essential to enhance productivity, operational reliability, and overall plant performance.
Job requirements
Your main responsibilities
Manage and develop production operations to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable performance.
Lead and support plant operators in running daily chemical plastic recycling processes.
Ensure production targets are met safely, on schedule, and in line with quality and cost requirements.
Oversee shift planning, operator training, and daily operational troubleshooting.
Maintain accurate production and performance records to support compliance and continuous improvement
Participate in commissioning, start-up, and risk assessments.
Continuously develop your expertise and apply lessons learned.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance process design.
Qualifications:
Education: B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, industrial management, or related field.
Experience: Senior hands-on knowledge of process engineering in a plant environment, preferably from commissioning
Mandatory Language Skills: Fluency in Finnish and English. Main working language is Finnish.
Personal Qualities:
Leadership: Strong leadership and people management skills with proven experience in supervising industrial operations, including production scheduling and shift management
Problem-Solving & Analysis: Ability to identify and resolve production issues, determine root causes, and develop effective solutions.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. The ability to effectively interact with colleagues and stakeholders is essential.
Learning: You are comfortable and skilled at learning and using new software and technologies.
